Low-alloyed Electrodes

ES 10018 G A5.5: E 10018-G / EN 757: E 62 6 Mn2NiCrMo B 42 H

Description

ES 10018 -G Mn-Mo-Ni -alloyed basic electrode with high ductility and crack resistance for high-strength, quenched and tempered fine-grained constructional steels. Suitable for service temperatures at -60°C to +400°C. Weld metal recovery approx. 120%. Easily weldable in all positions except vertical-down. Preheat, Inter pass temperature and post weld heat treatment as required by the base metal. Very low hydrogen content (acc. AWS condition HD <4 ml/100 g weld metal).

Applications

It is particularly used for welding tempered steels having high yield strength values. Therefore, it is recommended in applications when preheating cannot be applied. It can be used in all position and in all types of joints. It is particularly used in the welding of steel parts, boiler and pressure vessels and in construction of heavy machinery that operate under difficult conditions like dynamic loads and very high or low operating temperatures.
