Low-alloyed Electrodes

ES 7010-A1 A5.5: E 7010-A1 / EN 499: E 42 3 Mo C 25

Description

ES 7010-A 1 is a cellulose coated electrode, it has 0.50 % Mo content. Excellent molten pool control due to easily-removable slag and gaseous arc shilling eliminates porosity problems in weld beads which have good mechanical properties. In all positions, preferable for vertical down position, it enables notch-free, smooth weld beads of high penetrations.

Applications

It is especially designed for the site welding of higher strength pipe and pipelines with 0.50 % Mo, content that carry natural gas, crude petroleum or alike, for the welding of large diameter pipelines made of high resistant steels, It is particularly used on pipe steels in the 5Lx52 - 5LX56 range. Ship building; storage tanks, and boiler steel constructions, root and filler pass welding in all positions and pressure vessel manufacturing are among its vertical downwards position.
