Applications
ES SG3 should be used when a hig¬her silicon and manganese content is required or desired compared to AW SG2. The higher contents of silicon and manganese increase the yield stress and the tensile strenght of the weld metal (20-50 N/mm2 compared with E S SG3).
The high silicon content promotes a low sensitivity to surface impurities and contributes to smooth, sound welds
